PURPOSE
OUR
Our commitment to building sustainable practices that prioritise people and planet is the cornerstone of everything we do.
Clothing has an innate ability to change how we feel about ourselves. Knowing this, we work in close collaboration to create uniforms that both amplify individuality and bring people together – strengthening the connection between those wearing the clothes and the places they represent.
OUR VALUES
-
We are reimagining the classics with uniform that delivers, evolves and moves with the moment. Our pieces are carefully designed and made to tell the diverse, authentic stories of the people and places they represent.
-
True sustainability is an ever-present challenge in our industry – but it’s something we deeply believe in and continue to work towards. Our made-to-order approach means every garment we create serves a distinct purpose and minimises the risk of contributing to landfill waste.
-
We know the power of good hospitality and uniform is an essential part of that. Our clothes are designed collaboratively to make people feel confident and at ease. Every element is crafted meticulously to be worn effortlessly.
WHY WE WON’T
SAY SUSTAINABLE
As an industry, we have a long way to go when it comes to sustainability. That’s why we are committed to investing both time and resources into exploring and implementing innovative sustainable practices – while never claiming to be something we’re not.
Instead, we strive to hold uniform production to higher standards, for the people who buy the clothing, the people who wear it and the people who produce it. And we pledge to be transparent about our journey; the targets we set, the ones we reach and everything we learn along the way.
RE.DUCE
RE.USE
RE.CYCLE
While total, transparent sustainability is still in the future, we believe we can create change now. Our conscious projects make use of deadstock, vintage fabrics and natural dyes to lessen environmental impact and reduce waste wherever possible.
KOKO VINTAGE
For one of London’s foremost private member’s clubs, we sourced vintage printed shirts from an Italian warehouse. Each was handpicked in collaboration with KOKO’s founder, fitted individually to the wearer and paired with a smart black trouser to anchor the look across the team.
LOCKE
We sourced deadstock from trusted brands like Pangaia and worked with local artists to then repurpose the items. Every Locke property (all 17) collaborated with a different artist from their own area, bolstering community ties and creating uniforms that tell a diverse set of stories.
WHITE RABBIT X EVE
We used I AND ME deadstock to create tees for Ember Locke restaurant Eve, embroidered with their logo. For their aprons, we sourced more deadstock fabric from an East London warehouse before sending them to a natural dye house – a process that makes consistency tricky but produces stunning, more eco-friendly results.
